A Rolex GMT-Master 6542, stainless steel with a blue and red Bakelite bezel. As the very first GMT-Master reference, the 6542 holds significant historical importance as Rolex’s original dual-time tool watch. Features a non-radium bezel, hands, and dial. Powered by automatic movement, the watch has been recently serviced and is running well. The 38mm case remains sharp and well-defined, complemented by a period-correct 6636 stretch rivet bracelet with 80 end links.

Includes provenance, with paperwork, originally purchased through a military exchange by a serving US officer, and accompanied by original Rolex paperwork, box and the original military purchase receipt. The movement and case numbers align with the documentation, providing an added layer of confidence and extreme rarity.

Presented in vintage condition, with age-related bezel cracks and dial spidering, both consistent with period-correct ageing and highly valued by collectors. Supplied boxed and certified with a 12-month WLC warranty, this is a rare opportunity to acquire a historically significant GMT-Master with exceptional originality, documentation and long-term investment potential.
